After having been set the task of "real work" using HTML I went the
PageMill route, it was happening and reasonably straight forward, but lacks
any real power, or understanding of what set of HTML (2, 3, Netscape ext)
codes you are using.

So with some reluctance I went over to HoTMetaL Pro, it's like using some
*really* old fashioned Mac app, doesn't work how you expect things to
(enter doesn't activate an OK button [but return does!], command-. doesn't
activate cancel buttons, shift-tab doesn't go through fields in reverse
order, command-w in a dialogue box closes the document but not the
dialogue!).

But having said all that, it does work, and can check your work for HTML
level use, and is excellent for making tables up.

Maybe if they get some feedback from real Mac users for the next version
they'll produce something that works to the standards we expect, until then
we're stuck with a slightly clunky PC/Unix port
