The POP3 mail server has just been down for TWO days - have Demon explained why? I don't think so as always we the users have to put up and shut up. Well, that may be how things are done in Scotland, but all you're going to do in the South is lose customers, and with the service we're getting - It'll serve you right! Manners cost nothing - remember this Steve Grayston Cheezed Demon User

The POP3 servers suddenly because overloaded for some still unknown reason. The number of simultaneous users has been limited, meaning that it is often difficult to get a connection, but by trying at a quiet time it is still possible to receive email by POP3. For many users a better solution is to switch to using SMTP for mail collection, as SMTP mail delivery has ben working fine throughout. Paul
