Anyone know if any of the budget mono laser printers going for around 200 can be hooked up to a mac? or are they all parallel ports & no apple drivers?

Brother do the 631 for the Mac *and* PC, with both parallel and serial port. Almost all laser printers seem to me to have both ports. Brother also do a 600 series driver for the Mac- I'm using it now. -- Peter

If you have a new Mac with USB or an older PCI mac with a USB PCI card installed you can always use InfoWave's PowerPrint software and parallel port adaptor to plug in a wide range of low cost PC laser printers. Some of the new Epson inkjets give very impressive quality output and can be considered as alternatives to Lasers in quite a few situations - but see the output on the kind of paper you'll be using before you buy. Stuart.
