Im having problems with my connection (big red spikes in halflife basically)
My average ping used to be about 200-220 / now 260 -300
I was hainv noticable (audible) line noise problems a couple of nights ago -
these have gone but Imn not sure the line is 100%
My telephone provider is Telewest - I connect using green romp

I use a Diamond Supra Express 56e PRO (none of that winmodem muck thank you)

In terms of half life I was connected to one of the Demon TFC servers - so
the hop count should be low

Ive looked at the modem FAQ and tried the test described (quote below)
