I spoke to USR Tech Support and they told me the older EPROM checksum was 75CA and the later ones EF95. I have had my modem changed for a later one with the new packaging and "56K sticker/registration form" but still has an EPROM dates 08/21/96 which is older then yours ! As far as USR were concerned 9974 does not exist ! could it be an American version ? Paul
