The title says it all really. Has any one any ideas on how to reduce them? Setup: win95,P133, 32meg ram, onboard 16550AF uarts, using Turnpike 3.01 with the NTS winsock and Netscape 3 (but got loads of over-runs with DUN and Windis) External USR 28k Sportster on com2 (mouse on com1) running the port at 57k. I've tried dropping the speed down to 37k and still got overuns (and slowed evrything down as well). I've bought a new modem cable which has made bugger all difference. So what's next folks? Have I missed something obvious or done something stupid? Do you have to switch on the 16550 Uarts in the BIOS or something? What else could be causing this number of overuns (crap phone line? knackered modem, knackered UARTS?) Any help greatfully accepted Thanks, Dave. -- David Furness
