most decent list software even in gatesland handles stuff like this.

I've done lists via dialup with in excess of 150 people subscribed and
about 50-50 messages a day - it added approx 20quid to my monthly phone
bill. It depends on the geographic membership of a list. An announce one
is piss easy to do even with gatesland OS's and MTA's
