You won't find any modern soundcard that will work properly in DOS. They
all just emulate the older type of card. Hence, if you run something
processor demanding (such as an Amiga emulator in DOS) turning the sound
on slows down the emulation. Plug in an old SB 16 and they are fine.
Most PC games work OK though.

It's not Creatives fault, it's the fact that PCI soundcards have to talk
to the system differently to the old ISA cards. It's a fact of life.

In anycase, what's wrong with Windows for the WAV's? CD's won't be a
problem because they don't require a soundcard. As for Lemmings, the
Amiga version was better anyway.
