Overcoming dvd region coding ?

I've just bought a Pioneer A04SZ dvd drive. According to the bumf that
comes with it I can only change the region code 5 times & then the last
code becomes the permanent one.

On this model is there any way to either allow more than 5 changes or,
preferably, disable the code altogether ?
