I have the latest (4.0.4019, 29th March 1999) virus definitions with the
Dr. Solomon's 4.0.02 virus engine and a full scan shows nothing in
memory or in files so I do not think this is what is causing the
problem.

It has just happened again (while the virus checker was running). It may
have been something to do with my typing! I may have held the ctrl key
down by mistake when meaning to use shift.... any clues here?
