If you want to do this, you should get a detailed list of commands
from the Demon web site.

My telnet sessions go like this:

telnet pop3 110
<brief wait for response>
user michaels
pass qwerty <your POP3 password. Login password works too>
list
<list of messages and lengths like
  1 2345
  2 5678
>
top 2 20
<displays first 20 lines of message 2; enough to see what it's about>
dele 2
quit

There are more commands, but that's what I mainly use.
