I realise this is the wrong newsgroup but I don't have time to find an
appropriate one, Can someone please help me or my boss is gonna kick
myass!!

A)  A 9kW 230V heater is used to heat a tank of water which measures 2m
in length and is 1m deep and wide.  Calculate the mass(m) of water to be
heated in Kg, if 1000cc of water weighs 1Kg.

B)  The initial temperature(t1) of the water is 15C calculate the total
heat energy in joules required to raise the temperature to 55C(t2).
Given that the specific heat capacity(c) of water is 4200Joules/KgC, the
process 90% efficient due to the heat loss and heat energy required
Q=mc(t2-t1)

C)  Given that 1Joule = 1 Watt Second, calculate the time taken to reach
55C.

D)  Calculate the cost of energy used if units are charged at 7.65p per
unit.

E)  If the tank in part a was changed to a cylindrical shape measuring
2m long and 0.5m in diameter, determine the new mass of water to be
heated.
