I'd say your "boss" is asking some pretty assinine questions, and treating 
you like a schoolchild.  I'd say your boss was setting problems in 
classroom thermodynamics.  I'd say it sounds a little odd and rather 
strange, not to say insane, behaviour.  I'd also say that if your boss is 
putting you under such stress that you feel the need for support to the 
extent that you are so panicked that you have to ask in the first newsgroup 
you come across, that you are being abused, and really ought to consider 
another job.

That is I'd say that if I believed you.  As it is so utterly implausible 
that what I'd really say is...

TURN OF YOUR MODEM AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK YOURSELF.

And for future reference, if you can't find an appropriate newsgroup 
to post in, or something appropriate to post to the newsgroup you 
want to write in, DON'T POST.
