Memory use Windows98

Hi,

I'm just wondering about the memory use by windows. I have a 266Mhz
processor with 128Mb RAM, of which at this moment 108Mb is being used.
Virtual memory clocks almost 51Mb. Isn't this a bit much when only
Netscape is running (only Norton Anti-virus in the systray), and System
Doctor to monitor this. These are the readings right now, and I have
emptied out the systray.
With only Netscape running and full systray the readings are: VM 112.5Mb
PM 61Mb.
Is this normal?

An extra question: can anyone tell me what happens if I disable 'write
behind caching fo all stations'?

I would appreciate some insights on this.

Thanks,
Chris
