Hi Jim,

I format my drive on a regular basis, it certainly speeds things up a
bit and solves a few problems but, before you do make sure that you have
all the drivers for your CD, Video Card, printer etc and details of any
serial numbers for installed programs that you wish to re install, also
make *very* sure that you have at least two boot disks that will allow
you to access your CD drive. (To check put a CD into the drive turn your
machine off and turn it on with the boot disk in the floppy drive)

I also back up my bookmarks/favorites from Netscape and Internet
Explorer onto a floppy as a word document.
