Hello Brian,

That's a bit of a toughie. A voodoo 2 card is almost as good as a TNT card
however Opengl on voodoo 2 is not as fast as TNT when installed in a 233MMX
system, however I would say 3DFX is more stable by a large margin. If you
upgrade in the future to a high spec P2 say 100MHz 350 or higher the Voodoo
card will perform considerably better but probably only equal TNT Opengl
performance.

Of course TNT is 2D and 3D, 3DFX is only 3D.
TNT advantages are:
1. 32 bit rendering (games look better in this mode)
2. 2D performance as good or better than the Millenium
3. Direct 3D support
4. Clearer pictures over 3DFX
5. Higher resolutions than Voodoo 2
6. AGP cards available.

Voodoo 2 Advantages:
1. Great stability
2. Performance enhancement with cpu speed.
3. Supports Glide which is great for games that support it.
4. Supports Direct3D too.

That's it make your own mind up, I would personally buy the Voodoo2 as you
have Glide and D3D support then. Games will run fine on them and those that
support glide, like older games such as descent 1 will look VASTLY superior
when this option is chosen.

The creative TNT card is not the one to buy either. Buy the Asus V3400TNT
with SGram or the Hercules Dynamite TNT as these are the most stable, they
have active cooling fans.

All the best,

Steve.
