My next door neighbour has got a D486X2-80 running on Ms-Dos 6.2 and WfW
3.11 Two weeks ago he a bought a HP 660c Inkjet for which he also
installed its software, on occasions since then he's had an error dialog
box saying:- failed to establish 2 way communication to printer, via Lpt
1, on clicking the OK button the document would then print as normal.

Yesterday he received a fax and when he tried to print it, the printer
just churned out pages, on which was a single line of very small
symbols, he ended up switching the printer off to stop it.

On switching the computer on last night, it booted up as normal into
Windows, but when you tried to open File Manager an error box said:-
unable to find Winfile.exe, after clicking on OK it then asked for an
updated version of Windows. Now only certain items will open in Windows
and it keeps asking for a later version of Windows.
