Just a quicky this 8))

My 2 speed panasonic CR-563 has gone belly up on me and i'm
gonna have to buy a new one and my question is will i be able
to buy the bare drive and plug it into my AWE32's creative port
(where my existing one goes) or will i have to buy the interface
card aswell. The one i'm thinking of getting is the CR-582. Also
what is a enhanced ide atapi interface ?? is it built into the
back of the cd or is it something i have to plug into the motherboard
