Seagate's naming convention used to be and maybe still is
STxxxxxx A => ATA (IDE) interface
STxxxxxx E => ESDI interface
STxxxxxx N => SCSI interface
STxxxxxx ND => Differential SCSI interface
You can buy a little 'in-line' card that does bidirectional
differential to single ended conversion. I don't know if the
transmission delays impact performance - I suspect not. I don't know
any UK suppliers off the top of my head, but they will exist.
