I just set up a 750 with a Xircom card last week. Here's the problem that I
ran into: The system recognized the card, and all of the netware drivers
loaded ok, EXCEPT it would not attach to the server! With this being the
case, if the autoexec is setup to launch you directly into Windows, you get a
Windows error message that prevents Windows from loading (I forget the error
message off hand - it was something along the lines of incompatible network
shell or somehing like that). Anyway, I don't know if this is even remotely
close to what you are experiencing, but my solution to the problem was to do
away with ALL of the PCMCIA drivers. Don't load CS, SS, et.all. In
addition, set your EMM386 line in CONFIG.SYS to exclude D000-D1FF. That
should, I would think help solve your problem (and free up some of your
conventional memory as well).
