Blue Lightning on Deep Green motherboard?

I'm trying to put together a 486 computer using various spare parts.
In connection with this I purchased an IBM 486DX2 Blue Lightning
processor and a Deep Green VESA motherboard. This is a fairly standard
motherboard with 7 ISA (including 3 VESA) slots. It uses the AMI BIOS.

The problem I have is that after connecting everything together I
can't get any response from the system. The first time I switched on
the BIOS beeped at me but I didn't record the number of beeps which I
understand might have told me what the problem was. Since then there
has been no response at all - no sounds and nothing appears on the
screen.

I suppose the motherboard might be faulty but I wonder if there is
some problem with the system recognizing the IBM chip. I believe this
chip is unusual in that, although it is a DX2, it does not have an
fpu. Maybe this means I have to set the jumper switches on the
motherboard in a different way?

If anyone can give me any advice or comment on this problem or the IBM
chip I would be grateful. Is there a WWW site for Deep Green?
