If It occurs just after the 'Widowze 3.1X' Logo disappears It could be 
your video driver crashing the system. I had a similr problem when a 
rogue program modified the system.ini file so that the video driver was 
loaded twice! Look through the system.ini file for a repeated line such 
as device=vpicd or similar.
