I had a similar quandary when I got my machine home, although my HD is
only 730Mb. I decided on three partitions:-

  c: 250 Mb containing Windows95 and dos
d: 229 Mb for games, data and things
  e: 250Mb containing OS/2 and all it's utils.

The reason they don't add up to 730 is that I have the OS/2 boot manager
installed and this takes a 1Mb of space.

This is all, of course, just a suggestion.
