I'm thinking about getting one, to replace my Panasonic 562 CDROM. I'll have to buy the kit version, which includes the scsi interface, since I don't have one. Could you tell us how it performs? Is the CDROM 600K/s, how fast is the optical disk for read and write? Does it work with dos and win95? HOw sturdy are the disks? Is it possible to load in a CD and an optical at the same time? And just how noisy are we talking? It it noiser than then PSU fan and hard disks? Is it as noiser than the floppy disk? Is the noise only when writing to the disk, or reading as well? Does the CDROM suffer from the same problem? Thanks. -- +-----------------------------------------------------------+ | Johnnie Chan EMail: johnnie@jchan.demon.co.uk, | | jchan@matra.demon.co.uk, ma2crm=jc@bath.ac.uk | +-----------------------------------------------------------+
