Help! CD Not Being Recognised...

I have just installed Windows 3.11 and have found that it doesnt like my 
CD drive (which is drive 'D').

My setup is as follows:

486 DX2
8 MB RAM
420 MB HD

I should also mention that my hard disk has been doublespaced before wfw 
3.11 was installed. 

Any help will be greatly appreciated in helping me solve this 
provlem...thanks.
