8meg simms in Pentium MB ?

I have 2 pairs of 8Mb 72pin 70ns Parity simms.

One pair are branded Samsung and have 6 chips on each.
the other pair are branded SEC and have 4 chips on each.

Someone told me they don't work on Pentium motherboards (specifically a
P120 Triton MB).

Can any of you guys tell me if this is true ?
