Hello,

Is it possible to configure Majordomo and sendmail to run a list with
a dialup connection to the Internet?

Cheers

Geoff

Running a couple of small lists here with Majordomo, sendmail
(+fetchmail if collecting by pop3) and RedHat - dialup was to Demon but
now to Freeserve.

Once you have mail working (sendmail + fetchmail as appropriate) fetch
majordomo (www.greatcircle.com) and install and configure it :-)

It's nearly two years since I set it up so I can't remember the
specifics. I followed the Readme's, examples etc and got it working with
only a little difficulty. Suggest that you have a go and then come back
and ask if you have specific questions/difficulties.

Try setting up a test list and then use a hotmail account to test
subscribing/unsubscribing/posting etc.

RTFM. Just forget that you're on a dialup, I don't see why that has
any relevance whatsoever to setting up Majordomo, and there's plenty of
documentation for that.
