How to configure fetchmail
#331

Hi all,

I would like fetchmail to get all the messages for my account
(...@maxxweb.demon.nl) and put them on my router (P1-166 RedHat 6.2
Linux).
Then the mail clients can get their e-mail from the local server.

How do I do that?

In this way I hope to setup the router to regularly check for e-mail and
download it.

I'm using sendmail to get my e-mail out into the world.

Thank for the advice,

Since no-one else has replied, I'll offer my simple
introduction-to-fetchmail Web page:

    http://www.kempston.net/solaris/fetchmail.html

Ignore the Solaris bits on that page since you're using Linux.

But it really is so simple that few instructions are needed. The
README, INSTALL and FAQ files supplied with the source code are very
readable.

Regards, Mike.

Thanks for the link!

It seems that I don't need fetchmail for my Demon connection, since
Demon pushes e-mail to a possible SMTP recipient (such as sendmail) on
the client that is connecting to the Demon-server.

Now I need to find out how to configure sendmail for incoming mail.
