The restaurants portrayed Sambo as an Indian....some negroes thought that "black" referred only to them. I had a South Indian employee who was darker than all but handful of negroes, not even mulattoes and quadroons, that I have seen. Negroes, always intent on a reason to find "he be racist! he be a honkie mofo!" never patronized the chain, at least not when I lived in Santa Barbara. The negro has made himself the laughingstock of the world, and his self-selected exclusion from the world of science and technology will ensure his gutter status for the next 40 years, at the least.
