IIRC, that's the number of restaurants (# determined by those listed
with the health department?) in SF alone.  I remember reading a story
some years ago in the Chronicle [1] about how it would take $bignum
years for a single resturant reviewer to eat at all of them if the
reviewer ate at a different restaurant for every meal, 3x a day, 7
days a week, etc.

[1] explaining why they were unable to review everyone's favorite
local haunt and noting that it took 2 or 3 visits per review, so that
they didn't judge a restaurant based on a single visit.
