OK, Kalachandji's is not a full-fledged restaurant. It is run by 
Hare Krishna Community ( You don't have to belong to them just to 
eat there ). It is a non-profit organization and $8 is 'suggested
donation' for evening buffet. This place is 100% vegetarian. They
normally serve 5-6 different veggies ( steamed, fried with mild 
spices, Heavy on ginger if you like it ).  Rice, Soups etc. Food 
tastes more like east-indian though not that hot-spicy.  My favorite 
there is tamarind ice tea, crispy lentil wafers ( called Papadam )
This place is in south Dallas (5430 Gurley) Call for directions 821-1048

( They have some kind of special deal tomorrow, being earth day, I think!! )

Another place you may want to try is BlueBonnet Cafe in Whole Foods Market
at 2218, Greenville Ave. They serve some decent vegan food too and is
moderatle priced.
