Let's see, El Rincon, Lupita, & the place on Greenville next to the Carniceria (sp?) near Blackwell all spring to mind. For those of you who are "south challenged" I was shocked to find a fairly traditional relleno complete with raisins and pork + cream and ground walnut topping with pommegranites at Luna de Noche on Preston somewhere up near Plano. The rest of the food at Luna De Noche wasn't so great though. There are tons and tons of authentic Mexican places far beyond the pale of Tex Mex in Dallas, you just gotta hit the "Mexican" looking ones. Neon and giant mustachioed carricatures on the sign outside is generally NOT a good omen for great Mexican food. However those places support the obviously thriving cheese-sauce-in-a-can industry. Oh yeah, Colorado Springs is in love with green chile as much as I am and that's saying something! I had meatloaf - yes, MEATLOAF(!) smothered in green chile the other day. The GOOD kind too, not like that insipid west Texas brown gravy crap with a couple of greenish bits floating in it that gets passed off as green chile. This was just meat, chile, onions and I think that's it. _Randal
