You are using a different definition of "wa-ay down the list" than I
am. 1 million visitors compared to 3 million visitors? If that's not
wa-ay down the list, then what is?

If we're going to use visitors as the measure (probably not the best
measure, but it's something to use), then Disneyland's estimated at
13.7 million per year and Universal Studios at 5.1 million per year,
<http://www.celebratetoday.com/tparks.html>, and the San Diego Zoo at
3 million.

Of San Francisco's estimated 10 million non-local visitors, over 70%
visit Fisherman's Wharf, 55% Chinatown, and intermediate numbers visit
the Golden Gate Bridge, the cable cars, etc.

Joshua Tree gets well over 1 million visitors and Death Valley about 1
million, and the most popular state beaches are over 2 million
(ranging up to 7 million for Santa Monica Beach).

Then there's Hollywood at 4.2 million.

Heck, even Legoland is projected to reach 2 million visitors per year.

I could go on, but in my book, those numbers put Hearst's Castle way
down the list.
