Excerpt from the Dallas Morning News Guide from two weeks ago: "Another brew pub is on tap. Routh Street Brewery (or RSB) is goin into the James Brown's Back Room Bar-B-Que/Martinez Cafe space (next door to the old Routh Street Cafe building). Ann Spicer, who will be general manager, says the opening is target- ed for mid to late summer. RSB owner is Gary Brown of Signature Services, a commercial food business. The chef will be Tim Killcullen from the Goose Island Brewery in Chicago; Al Kinchin will be the brewmaster. Ms. Spicer says English and German beers with Hill Country Cuisine." Comments about Mr. Killcullen from those in the Windy City would be more welcome from the flatlanders in Big D. Cheers, james, japeters@dal.mobil.com

While the beer at Goose Island is very good, the food isn't that exciting. The best part of the meal is the free homemade potato chips available at every table. ps. I think Chicagoans could also be called "flatlanders."
