It was a police station. Oddly enough, it is a place where you commonly see all sorts of law breaking citizens hanging around. I have, unfortunately, had to visit the court house downtown in the middle of the day -- traffic citation related. From my car to the front door, I was confronted twice by guys who claimed to be recently released from jail and needed to borrow money. Would anyone want their daughter having to make a similar trip? I think any reasonable individual can make the smart call there. (Let alone making that trip during an odd hour of the morning.) I am not saying that I approve of whatever happened, but I will say that it was a wise move by the SS to keep a young woman out of that type of situation. Poor move by the media to pull the young Bush daughter into the media spotlight over this. PS- Being a black male in NYC is automatically dangerous?
