Of considerably more importance than his makeup was his behavior
during the debate.  He continued the lying mantra of "the top one
percent", which Bush could have - but for some reason didn't -
dispatched as easily as he did the late "rissskkyy scheeeme" 
comments.

At about the fifth occasion of Algore smirking, shaking his head, and
laughing while Bush was speaking, Bush should have briefly taken over
the ineffective Lehrer's job and called the camera's attention to the
posturing Algore, telling the simpering Vice President to share
whatever was so amusing with the rest of the class.

Gore is a posturing blowhard and a would-be bully; the way to counter
him is to get in his face and calmly tell him in front of tens of
millions of people to grow up and stop acting as a child.
