There's a whole concept of 'libertarianism' that comes from the social liberal as well as from a refined conservativism. Trying to capture a particular ideology as the platform for the Libertarians is just as manipulative as the other two parties. It should not degenerate into an Ayn Rand discussion group; 'anti-communism' isn't particularly relevant anymore, and 'creeping socialism' has about as stupid a referent as well. About the only thing that doesn't apply to me in the top paragraph is the part about 'carry permit'- anybody that begs a government for permission to be armed is a sissy anyway. Chas
