I used this great little word called CAN several : times in my previous post. The reason I used it was to avoid : generalizing. Maybe you should learn how to read before posting : anything else :^) OK, I cut out the first two sentences of the portion you reposted. You may notice that after the first two sentences, you don't use that little 'can' word at all. From this perspective, it looks like you have appointed yourself spokesman for all men. : > some of these other qualities. Women can be the same way, it's just a fact of life. : > Deal with it. : Oh, I am dealing with it very well. And you are quite right, it is a : fact of life. The question is how much does a woman's attractiveness have : to do with looks. You say alot, I say some. Have you ever met a woman : who you were not attracted to, until after you talked to her? Yes, but mostly in the context of friendship. I dated one or two women in college that I didn't find physically attractive, but that was when I was inexperienced and insecure. : > I have noticed that *in general* people who perceive themselves : > to be less attractive are less concerned with the looks of : > their partner. If your experiences are really : > that much different, I would suggest that you stop hanging : > out with losers. : Thats an interesting theory. I find that people who perceive themselves : "less attractive" are only concerned with getting a partner. The traits : of their partner tend to be unimportant. This has not necessarily been my experience. I find that people who perceive themselves as less attractive are often just as selective as anyone else. They just tend to select for things other than looks (intellect, for example). YMMV Mike -- I don't waste my time rationalizing, second-guessing myself, or feeling excessive guilt. I am not perfect, I do stupid things, and I'm damned proud of it.
