Hi y'all, I'm taking a new job in Grand Prairie and will be looking for a place to "batch" it immediately and within a year, move my family into real housing. I'm looking for a studio apartment or something else creative & cheap-does anyone have any suggestions (no tents please). I won't be there very much (I'll travel a lot) & I can rough it with ease. Any suggestions?

Hi there, Greg! I live in S.E. Arlington, just a mile or so from the Grand Prairie line. There are many apts. in the area. Are you planning a visit to scope out the area? You can go to a site like www.apartmentguide.com, or www.springstreet.com, and search online. That's what I'm doing, for a potential move to Colorado next year. Good luck, and if I can help you in any way, just give me a shout. If you're going to be doing anything near Grand Prarie might I suggest you consider living in Arlington? There's TONS of apartment complexes, even just along 360 that would leave you within shouting distance of the great pothole...sorry, Grand Prarie...and I'd wager you'd find the quality of life better overall. LLLVIS -- Do I know what a rhetorical question is?!?

GP is kinda sleazy. Irving or Arlington would be a better choice. -A-

Parts of Grand Prairie are sleazy, just as parts of any city are. If you want the nicer areas, go south of I-20 or north of I-30. There are plenty of nice places to live in the city. -- *********** Adam Adkins

I live south of I-20 and Carrier, and enjoy it very much ( I have lived here for almost 9 years). There are some new apartment complexes around here, but I have no idea as to how much they cost. Good luck. Jim

Cool, now if we could just get you to post with a readable line length and to read the charters of the groups before crossposting all this to them, and posting attachments. And, not that anyone here wants to see it again, he just might want to
think about getting a V-card spell checker.......

If you are going to post to dfw.singles,dfw.forsale,dfw.jobs,dfw.personals And your message is relevant to all four groups, which it is not, then post four separate messages, and be prepared to follow them separately. We don't cross post dfw.* groups. No reason to promote the cross traffic. What's up with your line length? I use 76, Some folks say never run over 72. But you must have yours set at like 25 or so. And finally, the vcard attachment. I am not going to open it. So it's just one more thing to delete in my attachments directory. Just my opinions. Ron
