pacific bell is currently testing/implementing isdn service at least in
california.  they charge a flat fee for monthly service roughly between 30
and 50 dollars/month.  i was fortunate to have attended a briefing on pb
services last july given by a manager who i network with through my aol
account (please spare the dirisive comments).  when i got back here the
first thing i did was research ba's policy on bringing this service to our
homes.  needless to say my dreams were dashed.  from what i can see there
is a fundamental difference in outlook among the baby bells on this
subject.   maybe because of silicon valley the western bells are all over
this thing  while we're just left banging our fists on the proverbial
table.
