ASP & Javascript conflicts?

Hi Folks,

I have a quandry.

My page, id it contains ONLY a series of javascripts to validate a form works
just fine. MyPage.html

However, when I include a short asp instruction, (renaming the file MyPage.asp)
the javascript seems to be ignored, although the ASP preforms its function.

Where can I startythinking/looking to resolve this conflict?

Everything I read suggests that the two can exist together ..... and the whole
works is running on an NT server.
