For about a week now, the site "test.pol.dk" has been re-posting
rather large amounts of Usenet postings into the alt.rave newsgroup
over and over again with new message headers (apparently everything in
their spool, once every hour, and every time with more junk headers
appended).

The headers of the garbage messages suggest that this is a BBS system
running some broken gatewaying software. Attempts to reach the
postmaster of this system have failed due to a mailer configuration
error at test.pol.dk.

Over the last two days, the situation has gotten worse. Now apparently
this broken BBS dumps _huge_ files from its binary file base into the
affected newsgroup. (E.g.: Message-ID: <msg4180.836230177@test.pol.dk>)

This makes up for really large amounts of traffic and it is a major
annoyance for small sites like mine which still run their traffic via
UUCP and phone lines and need their disks for other stuff too.

Please act as soon as possible to stop this havoc. If test.pol.dk
remains unreachable via mail, I suggest DKNET cut off its access now
until some responsible person at test.pol.dk can be contacted to look
into the matter. The matter is serious enough to warrant immediate
action. Not that this is nothing like a personal crusade, it's about a
present danger for the correct operation of USENET.
