Maybe you already know of this possibility, but in the simtel archives
is PD available including PCX oriented software and descriptions.
You can get there via
VAX : send trickle@?? /pddir <msdos.graphics>
upon which you will get a list of the available files,
For VMS/TSO you can use something like
 VMSG ?? TRICKLE /pddir <msdos.graphics>

To find out which host (?? (DEARN?)) you have to use you can use
HEARN for the first time, then you will get a message
which host is meant to be used by you.

More extended information you get with the '/HELP' command
including download info.
