Subject: DISSPLA 11.0

DISSPLA version 11 has been shipped to IBM MVS customers. Home grown
device drivers should be inspected because of a changed calling
sequence:

    Prior to initialization (function code -2) the device driver
    is call several times with function code .LE. -100 and
    +7 (hardware characters).

    After initializations functions code .LE. -100 continue to
    be sent.

    The interface documentation, members XYI and QQXYI in
    CAI.DRVS.INTSRC, does not inform about this but shows other
    new functions: Parameters can be set to control colour
    selection and interpolation.

I haven't gone thru all the new features ... and by chance my
device drivers still work.

By the way, tapes are being sent with a new version 11.0 for VAX VMS.
It is not 11.2 (and only a very small number of bugs fixed).
What is new with this release (apart from dynamic device loading) ?
