Subject: WNOS

I picked up the wnos from thumper today and it looks good. Nice to have
the status line. The configuration as supplied lacks the packet driver
interface which many will need. Can the source for this code be supplied?

I understand the problems with transferring such a large file from
Europe. That brings up another point. We now have a UK to NYC 9600
baud packet connection. The UK node propagates to my TCP/IP station.
I have hacked around alittle in the UK nodes but I do not seem to see
any TCP/IP. We need to get routing set up. I can supply info on the
US side. Is there anyone in UK that can reach the London (NBC) node that
we could link to??? It would have to be a netrom route.

Subject: DOS 5.0 fix

I am passing this note from Mike regarding the status error message
in DOS 5.0 - I will not get a chance to compile and try it for a week
or so. Maybe Gerard (not having DOS 5.0) could just make this change
in his next version and we could try it.

	Subject: Source for NOS under MS-DOS 5.0

	I sent a note to Ralf Brown, the keeper of the list of undocumented MS-DOS
	interrupts (Ralf.Brown@B.GP.CS.CMU.EDU), and he replied that the DOS List of
	Lists structure is unchanged from MS-DOS 4.x to 5.x. Since I do not yet
	have MS-DOS 5.0, I cannot test this. He is releasing the new edition of
	his interrupt list this weekend, by the way. Assuming Ralf is right, and
	he probably is, the only change required is one line of source code:

	-------- in function dofstat() in module main.c --------

	[existing code:]

		case 4:
			entrylen = 59;	/* DOS 4.x - I do not know what is in the
					 * extra 6 bytes */
			break;
		default:
			tprintf("Sorry, cannot handle this version of MS-DOS");
			return 1;

	[change to:]

		case 4:
		case 5:				/* This is the new line. -- N1BEE */

			entrylen = 59;	/* DOS 4.x - I do not know what is in the
					 * extra 6 bytes */
			break;
		default:
			tprintf("Sorry, cannot handle this version of MS-DOS");
			return 1;

	-------- end of listing ---------

	If I find this does not work when I finally get MS-DOS 5.0, I will investigate
	further.
