Your'e getting warm.....

This is a feature. Anything that starts a new session is not available from
the remote sysop command. I think this is a complete list:
a) ftp
b) telnet
c) tip
d) more
e) dir ( because it uses more )
f) connect
g) hopcheck
h) finger
i) ping
j) netrom connect
This one is different. It doesn't start a new session, but for different
reasons can't be used from remote sysop:
k) shell

Subject: ka9q shutting down
I'm now shutting down ka9q.bellcore.com, my sun workstation at home,
and returning it to Bellcore before the moving van comes next Thursday.
I have modified the domain name database at Bellcore and made arrangements
on ucsd.edu such that mail to "anyone@ka9q.bellcore.com" *should* be
automatically mailed to karn@ucsd.edu, bypassing the about-to-be defunct
machine here. I.e., the only remaining record for ka9q.bellcore.com is a MX
record pointing at ucsd.edu, and ucsd.edu has a hack in its sendmail.cf file
to deliver such mail to me locally. The IP address records for
ka9q.bellcore.com have been deleted (it may take a while for all this to
propagate).
It would still be a good idea to use "karn@ucsd.edu" to send me mail from
now on instead of "karn@ka9q.bellcore.com". Also, Al Shjarback, WB0MPQ, is
now reachable as "wb0mpq@cats.njit.edu"; the forwarding entry he had through
ka9q will no longer work.
Thanks!
Phil
