            Workshop Prolog Programming Environments at the
  First Swiss Meeting on Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science

                        Yverdon, October 4, 1989

Topic: Trends in Building Prolog Programming Environments

The workshop will focus on aspects of  Prolog  Programming  Environments
such integrated environments for  Prolog  (or  other  logic  programming
languages), syntax-directed editors,  (automatic)  debugging,  graphical
support, static  analysis,  performance  analysis,  partial  evaluation,
program transformations,  Prolog  libraries,  tools,  types  in  Prolog,
modules for Prolog, interfaces  to  external  systems  (window  systems,
other languages, data bases, operating system etc.). There will be  time
for informal presentations and discussions.

Those interested in presenting material  or  just  participating  should
contact the organizer by  e-mail  not  later  than  September 28.  Those
planning to make a presentation should submit an extended abstract which
contains descriptions of  and  experiences  with  existing  systems,  or
position statements of ongoing work, or ideas for new tools.  A  program
will be distributed to the participants prior to the workshop.

Duration of the workshop: 2 hours.

Deadline: September 28.
