I attempted to install SAS 6.12 for Windows 95 on a Micron Pentium 166 with 32MB of RAM and an HP 5MP printer attached. At the end of the installation process when the icons were being generated, I received a SPOOL32 error. Details: -------- SPOOL32 caused an invalid page fault in module FTCNFS32.DLL at 0147:00d35511. Registers: EAX=3154504c CS=0147 EIP=00d35511 EFLGS=00010206 EBX=82c35034 SS=014f ESP=0086feac EBP=0086fedc ECX=0086fed4 DS=014f ESI=82c35038 FS=1ae7 EDX=bffbf9e0 ES=014f EDI=00000000 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 89 07 a9 00 00 00 ff 74 50 83 c1 04 83 c7 04 eb Stack dump: 00000000 82c35218 00d257b3 00000000 0086fed4 82c35218 82c35038 82c35034 82c3522f 00000001 3154504c 7fc1003a 825c2de0 7fbe450e 00000000 00000001 Installation process has to be terminated and the system restarted (cannot print once this occurs). SPOOL32.EXE 7-11-95 (20,992 bytes) FTCNFS32.DLL 6-21-96 (149,504 bytes) I updated the kernel, re-installed SAS and the error continues to occur. I used both the typical and custom installation processes in my many attempts. I checked Microsoft's WWW site and no luck and no lead. I also contacted SAS. Has anyone seen this problem and/or have any suggestions for resolving it. Liz Locus Dept of Economics Duke University
