9-bit floppy disk

I have a floppy disk from an old, old Atari computer, with files that I
wish to retrieve. Norton utilities, as far as I can tell, has no idea how
to read from this disk, since it's formatted using 9-bit bytes (!).

Any ideas? If anyone has (a) an old, old Atari, (b) software that could
read from this disk, or (c) any other idea how to retrieve the data,
please let me know. Thanks.
