Seeking help from netfolk on the following problem: 1991 Ford Aerostar 4.0L AWD EDIS During hot summer days (ambient temp 28 deg C or hotter) after driving a half hour or more (city or highway) with A/C on, engine hesitates & dies out. Temp gauge shows just above half-way mark, & Service Engine light is not on. There are no trouble codes. The engine cranks normally but will not start. When a plug wire is removed and the engine cranked, there is a spark from the wire. A new fuel filter, fuel pump, & fuel pump relay have been installed without solving the problem. This has happened a couple of times each summer for the last 3 years. Any ideas? TIA, Tim. If you choose to reply rather than followup publicly, remove JUNKBLOCK from email address.
